There are several problems in determining each candidate's delegate strength.
Many states have gone against their national committee's rules and have held early primaries. The national committees have punished these states by stripping delegates.
In some states, the primary vote is only the first step in determining a delegate's vote. In these cases, the date of delegate determination is listed.
Each state will have uncommitted delegates. Many news agencies are reporting extrapolated data which makes assumptions on how the uncommitted delegates will vote. In the current world of rough and tumble politics, we prefer to only report the committed delegates for each candidate.
