Luck has run out for four locations in Odessa. The Department of Public Safety raided the Sweepstakes Triple Fun Internet Café, Party Game, Reno Lights, and Texas E. All four spots are allegedly involved in illegal gambling. This investigation was originally started at the request of the Texas attorney general. Five people are behind bars and facing criminal charges. “People who were arrested are accused of either being in possession of gambling, paraphernalia, or operating a gambling place or promoting gambling," said Austin DPS Spokesman Tom Vinger. But, more arrests are possible. All those charges are Class A misdemeanors. State troopers pulled computers, flatscreens, and other equipment from inside the different places. “In the process of these searches we've seized approximately 200 video gambling devices," said Vinger.
