Natalie Swain is from Burnsville, Minnesota. She is a graduate of Howard University in Washington DC where she earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Theatre Arts.

She says she may never have found the desire to become a News Anchor without interning at as many stations as possible and learning each position in News.  During her Howard tenure, she interned at NBC4 (Washington D.C.), KARE 11 (Minneapolis, MN) and even with MTV’s News Department in New York City.

After college, Natalie traveled around Eastern Europe-living mostly in Budapest, Hungary and visiting surrounding countries. Following her travels Natalie became a Special Education Teacher Assistant for the Minneapolis Public School District while awaiting entrance into Graduate School at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. That’s where she earned a Master’s

Degree in Electronic Media.While in Miami, Natalie worked as a Writer/Associate Producer at WSVN7 and later trained as an anchor at NBC6.

Natalie is very happy here in Midland, TX, living out her dream as Morning News Anchor on Good Morning West Texas from 5:30-7:00 A.M. each week day. Natalie is also a Board Member for The Black Chamber of Commerce and a member of the NABJ.  In her spare time she enjoys auditioning for local plays & hanging out with her adorable Pug, Cinco!  When she’s not working on news she’s working on her cosmetic and accessory line, CarmelCosmetics.com.

And, if she could be anywhere in the world right now it would be with her loving, caring, supportive, fabulous family.
