Cybercriminals increased their attacks on power and nuclear systems last year.

That's according to the Department of Homeland Security.

They say the number of attacks reported to their cyber security team grew by 52%.

Almost 200 attacks were reported; some even resulted in successful break-ins.

The DHS says hackers can get access to these systems via the internet by cracking weak or default passwords.

Authorities say these attacks show that US infrastructure is very vulnerable.
