Odessa Man Injured In Shooting While Playing Basketball

ODESSA -- Odessa Police are looking for someone who shot a man in the arm along an Odessa street.

    Police say that someone who was riding in a black Ford pickup truck shot Niguel Johnson in the forearm in the 400 block of Seminole Street around 5:55 PM on January 17th.

    Johnson, 22, was playing basketball at the time of the shooting.

    When police arrived on the scene, they say that the shooter and the ford pickup truck had already left the area.

    Johnson was rushed to Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Police also say that there was a disturbance involving people with guns in the 900 block of Snyder Street just before the shooting took place.

    A red S.U.V. was reportedly seen leaving the scene of the disturbance.
