The Tea Party Patriots have issued an apology to Karl Rove after emailing an inappropriate photo of the veteran GOP strategist.

The image was edited to look like Rove was wearing a Nazi uniform.

It was included in an email sent out by the Tea Party soliciting donations.

The email was sent out with the subject line: "Wipe the Smirk Off Karl Rove's Face."

In a statement, the Tea Party Patriots apologized to Rove and said they are working to make sure that type of mistake doesn't happen again.
