MIDLAND -- Midland Police won't be charging anyone in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash that happened in early February.

The fatal crash happened at the intersection of North Big Spring Street and the eastbound Loop 250 service road on February 5th.

Police say that Joe Anthony Montemayor was heading south in a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Big Spring Street when he ran a red light at the intersection with the eastbound Loop 250 service road.

A white 4-door Ford F-150 pickup truck that was heading east on the service road smashed into Montemayor's motorcycle.

Montemayor, 36, died at the scene.

Police say that Montemayor wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the fatal crash.

The driver of the pickup truck wasn't injured.

Officers are still waiting for toxicology reports to come back on Montemayor.
