As a cold front approaches from the north today we will see increasing clouds with chances for showers and thunderstorms.  Best chances to see the rainfall with be the northern and eastern Permian Basin as well as the Trans Pecos.  Heavy rainfall will be the main concern during the evening hours.  Behind the front we will cool to near average temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s through Thursday.  We will continue to see chances for storms through Wednesday as a series of upper level disturbances will move across the area.  As we head into the weekend we will warm back into the mid to upper 90s.
