An increase in monsoonal moisture, strong daytime heating and a surface trough will allow for scattered thunderstorms to develop not only this afternoon but again tomorrow afternoon.  Heavy downpours, gusts more than 50mph and frequent lightning will be the main concerns. Minor street flooding will also be possible.  Friday we will dry out and heading into the weekend we will see lots of sunshine and hot temperatures in the upper 90s.
