It was an active day across the Permian Basin with almost everyone seeing a little bit of rain. We picked up only .13" at the airport, but heavy flooding occured in Alpine. The Rio Grande had a possibility of cresting it's banks as well as heavy rain fell in the Trans-Pecos. Fortunately for the people inundated in the Trans-Pecos, changes are on the way. High pressure will start building over our area again, bringing us the familiar sinking air and rising temperatures. The sun will start to shine again tomorrow with summy skies by Monday. We will step our way up the ladder this week reaching 97 tomorrow, followed by days of 98, 100, 101 and 102 by Wednesday.
