Updated: August 30, 2012
MIDLAND -- The former Hurricane Isaac has been downgraded to a tropical depression.

The storm was weakening as it moved north over Louisiana Thursday, but it also reportedly claimed one life.

A man reportedly died after strong winds knocked a tree onto a car in Picayune, MS during the storm.

Isaac made landfall as a Category 1 Hurricane in southeastern Lousiana on August 28th.

The storm left behind massive flooding -- particularly near low-lying bayous of the Plaquemines Parish in southern Louisiana.
