Temperatures will be warm in the lower 90s ahead of the approaching cold front.  Afternoon thunderstorms will develop today mainly in the higher terrain and southeast New Mexico with these storms pushing east during the evening and overnight.

Tomorrow will be batch two of rain as the cold front will push south during the day. Winds will be breezy out of the northeast and cooler air will be in place for the day.   Temperatures will drop in the mid 70s for tomorrow.  Rain is expected through the day.  The rain may be heavy at times producing flash floods.  Widespread measurable rainfall is expected with 0.25"-0.50" and some locations seeing more.

Friday will be cloudy cool and damp with temperatures into the lower 70s.  Friday night football will be a chilly one across West Texas so plan to dress accordingly.

Saturday and Sunday we will see dry air filter in and warming temperatures in the upper 70s to 80s.
