Cooler Temperatures and Rain, 9-27-12

Moisture has been surging into West Texas all week and we continue to scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast.

The heaviest rainfall amounts will occur mainly to our west today and tonight in the Guadalupe and Davis mountains and the adjacent plains.  Friday we will see activity more numerous and heavy rain will be possible at times into the evening hours.  Friday will be the day Midland and Odessa picks up measurable rainfall.  Rain will linger into Saturday before pushing east.  When all is said and done widespread amounts of 0.50"-1.50" will be possible with isolated amounts over 2.00".  Flooding will be a concern.

Temperatures will be in the upper 70s Friday and Saturday and lower 80s Sunday and Monday.
