ODESSA -- Union Pacific is going to new lengths to keep people from parking and walking on the railroad tracks near Jaguar's Gold Club in Odessa.

Union Pacific is installing a tall chain link fence along the railroad tracks near the former Cargo Road intersection.

Ector County commissioners shuttered the former railroad crossing -- located near the entrance to Jaguar's Gold Club --  in the summer of 2011.

The shutdown Texas officials determined that it was one of the most dangerous intersections in the entire state of Texas.

Guardrails, barriers and signs couldn't keep people from walking or parking on the tracks in the area.

Now, Union Pacific is building the fence to keep people off their rails, and prevent bad and costly crashes.
