November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month

ODESSA -- During National Hospice and Palliative Care Month this November, providers across the country are raising awareness of the many benefits of hospice/palliative care.

The Odessa Home Hospice Office is celebrating the cause with check presentations to local charitable organization.

Hospice donated $5,000 to Meals on Wheels and another $5,000 to Catholic Charities Thursday morning.

Home Hospice says it's honored to serve an average of 1,200 Permian Basin families each year.

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization reports every year, more than 1.58 million people living with a life-limiting illness receive care from hospice palliative care providers in the U.S.
