MIDLAND--In a largely republican state like Texas, it's hard to find a democrat. When one is found they're far and few in between. However, for Tuesday night's election coverage, the democrats were out at Harvest Caffe to show their democratic support.

"I believe it's gonna be a tighter race this time," said Michael Sorrells, a democrat supporter.

Despite the tight race, Sorrells and the others in attendance for the watch party believe at the end Barack Obama will be declared the winner.

Sara Ornellas fully agrees, "I think he's better for this country."

Throughout the campaign, democratic arguments suggest Romney's political stand is far more liberal than that some would believe. Sorrells said he is rooting all the way for Obama, but would be ok if Mitt Romney would have won, it Romney practiced the same beliefs he held as governor.

Ornelllas had a different view. She said the presidential race wasn't necessarily about issues.

"It's not about electing Romney, it's about beating Obama. To hell with the rest of it," said Ornelllas.

She went on to say that his stand on more liberal issues show him to have too many inconsistencies.

"He's changed his stand on a lot of issues, from the time he was governor in Massachusetts to now, he has literally flip flopped," said Ornellas.

As the coverage continues, Sorrells took a drink for himself.

He said, "I will drink to that. Four more years."

Just before 10:30 Tuesday night, multiple networks declared Obama the winner. Ornellas said if it came down to a win for Obama, she would cry tears of joy.
