Big Spring Woman Accused Of Abandoning Child While Drunk

BIG SPRING -- For the second time in as many days, a Big Spring woman is facing charges for endangering her own child.

    Brenda Valdivia was arrested on December 3rd.

    Big Spring Police tell Big 2 that Valdivia, 32, got drunk and let her 3-year-old child leave her home alone.

    Police found the child walking in the 1700 block of Kentucky Way with 2 dogs around 3:35 pm on December 3rd.

    Officers contacted Valdivia around 4:30 pm on December 3rd, but she reportedly said that the child had been gone only 15 minutes.

    Now, Valdivia is charged with endangering a child.

    Valdivia's child is now in C.P.S. custody.
