Tomorrow, westerly winds at 10-20mph will bring more above average temperatures with many areas in the mid 70s to the upper 80's.

Sunday will be quite different, though.

We will reach our high for the day ahead of a cold front that will pass through around mid-day.

Temperatures will top out in the mid 50's ahead of the front.

Behind the front, temperatures will fall dramatically, ending with lows in the low 20's Sunday night.

The winds will be fairly strong out of the NE, which will bring blowing dust to the area.

Those stronger winds will also bring our "real-feel" wind chill temps down below 10 degrees in the northern Permian Basin and the Davis/Guadalupe mountains.

Other areas will see wind chills between 10 and 20.

The northern Permian Basin and SE New Mexico could see the possibility of snow developing, but the lower atmosphere will be so dry that little to no accumulation is expected.

Colder daytime highs will be expected Monday, with many areas not escaping the 40 degree range.

Lows Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night are not expected to top 30 degrees, so remember the 3 P's:

Pipes: Keep a little water running lightly to avoid freezing pipes.
Pets: Animals are very susceptible to cold, so be sure to bring in the family pets.
Plants: Temperatures this cold can be devastating to many types of vegetation. Bring in plants, or if that's not possible, keep them covered.

After that, another warm-up as we will be back to around 50 Tuesday, upper 50's Wednesday, and then back into the 60's before the weekend comes around.
