Chilly Friday with Rain Showers Possible New Years Eve, 12-28-12

Temperatures this afternoon will be chilly under sunny skies. We will remain cool in the upper 40s and lower 50s through the weekend.
A fairly quiet weekend is expected with increasing moisture and cloud cover on Sunday.
An upper level system will approach for early next week bringing us rain chances for New Years Eve. Scattered showers could develop as early as Monday morning and continue through the day. Wintry precipitation is not expected with the exception of possibly the northern basin Monday night as temperatures cool.
Next week will remain below average.
