Heavy Water Users To See Decrease On Bill In Midland

MIDLAND -- Many Midlanders will be seeing a break on their next water bill.
Starting this month, Midland is returning to its old rate structure.
The City of Midland is removing the penalty rate -- or multiplier rate -- applied to the usage of 10,000 to 25,000 gallons of water.
Residents and businesses using 10,000 gallons or less of water per month will see no change, and the multiplier on rates for 25,000 gallons or more will stay in place.
Midland leaders voted to discard the multiplier in November 2012, after the Colorado River Municipal Water District lifted municipal water allotment restrictions for its member cities.
