A Connecticut school will be renamed after a teacher who died protecting her students in the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre.

Town officials in Stratford, Connecticut unanimously voted Monday night to rename HoneySpot Elementary after 27-year-old Victoria Soto.

She was killed when a gunman opened fire at the Newtown school last month.

Twenty children and five other adults died in the rampage.

Soto's family was there for the vote.

Soto lived in Stratford and had grown up there.

The Town Council vote took place on the one month anniversary of the shooting.
