Drainage Improvement Project in Midland Continues Monday

MIDLAND -- The City of Midland's Transportation Division will continue a drainage improvement project at the 1300 block of West Cuthbert Avenue. The project will include the removal and replacement of a concrete valley gutter. During the project, the 1300 block of West Cuthbert Avenue will be closed. East and west bound traffic on Cuthbert Avenue will be detoured around the work zone. All properties adjacent to the work zone will remain accessible.
 
Motorists are advised to avoid this work zone if possible.
 
Ward Street Bridge Reconstruction
The Contractor working for the City of Midland is currently working on the resurfacing of the North alley along Jal Draw between Ward Street and Garfield Street Access to the alley will be limited to local residents only.
 
Hicks and Gist Sidewalk Construction
The Contractor working for the City of Midland will continue sidewalk construction in vicinity of Midland Freshman School. Intermittent lane closures may occur during construction.
