Andrews Man Pleads Guilty To Federal Child Porn Charges

MIDLAND -- An Andrews man faces up to 20 years in federal prison for sharing hundreds of child porn images on the internet.

    Francisco Jose Cantu pleaded guilty to receipt of materials relating to the sexual exploitation of children charges in Federal Court in Midland on January 28th.

    Cantu, 27, received at least 600 images of children engages in sexually explicit content in October 2012.

    Cantu then reportedly stored the images on several computers at his home, and prosecutors add that he distributed images of child pornography over the Internet.

    Homeland Security Investigations agents used a search warrant to seized several computers from Cantu's Andrews home on November 29, 2012.

    H.S.I. investigators reportedly found more than 600 images of child porn on the devices.

    Now, Cantu faces 5 to 20 years in federal prison.
   
    No sentencing date has been set for Cantu.
