Errors Found in Millions of Credit Reports

There could be a mistake in it that could cost you money or keep you from getting a mortgage or a car loan.

As many as 42 million Americans have errors in their credit report.

That's according to a report from the Federal Trade Commission.

20 million have significant mistakes.

The Consumer Data Industry Association is hitting back, saying 98-percent of credit reports are accurate.

Just to be sure, it's important to look at your credit report from all three major credit bureaus.
