MIDLAND -- A deaf Crane man is accused of trying to get a 13-year-old boy to have sex with him.

Juan Carlos Venegas was arrested on February 19th, as he was entering the United States from Mexico at the Del Rio Port-of-Entry.

A federal complaint states that Venegas, 20, sent several text message to a 13-year-old Crane boy asking him to engage in sexual activity.

Some of the text messages reportedly discussed showering together and not telling anyone about the relationship, which the boy reportedly knew was illegal.

The boy and Venegas -- who is deaf -- had reportedly touched each other's genitals before as well.

The complaint also says that the boy's father called police after he found Venegas in bed with the teen in July, but Venegas wasn't arrested at that time.

Now, Venegas has been indicted on sexual coersion of a child charges.

No trial date has been set for Venegas.
