Midland County Road Closed For Construction Of Rail Spur

MIDLAND -- Construction on a railroad spur is shutting down Industrial Avenue in Midland.

    A mile of F.M. 662 (Industrial Avenue) will be closed near Agri-Empriesa Inc. for much of March as workers build a railroad spur to tie Agri-Empresa Inc. into Union Pacific.

    The road is closed between South County Road 1250 and Trade Drive, although access to businesses along the closed stretch of road will remain open.

    Esatbound traffic on Industrial Avenue will detour onto South County Road 1250, while westbound traffic will detour onto Business 20 of the north Interstate 20 service road.
