MONAHANS -- Plenty of cities across West Texas will be holding elections in may, but Monahans won't be joining them.

The Ward County seat was supposed to hold elections in May.

However, Monahans officials tell Big 2 that the elections have been cancelled due to a lack of contested races.

Now, everyone who's running for an office in Monahans in may will be automatically elected.
