Temps will stay hot with highs ranging from the upper 80's to the middle 90's today through the weekend. To add to the heat, Far west Texas, the Guadalupe Mtns. will stay dangerously dry keeping critical fire danger a main concern. Our eastern counties, Reagan & Glascock mainly, on the other hand, have rain in the forecast. So the weather will vary greatly from east to west. The largest hazard with these storms is not going to be the rain or hail but moreso the lightning. Dry lightning, in particular, is extremely dangerous bacause it usually sparks wildfires. These storms will be vary spotty with more storms likely Sunday. Sunday is our best chance to see more storms in the area as a coldf ront pushes east. This will pick up the winds and knock the temps back a bit early next week.
