Easter Sunday PM Weather 4-24-11

By: Meteorologist Trent Magill
Updated: April 24, 2011
As the dryline and all of our moisture moves well east of the Permian Basin, the chance for rain also leaves us. Adding to the dryness, winds are expected to gust into the 40's Monday and Tuesday elevating fire concerns. Red Flag Warnings in effect area-wide through Tuesday evening with High Wind Warning for the Guadalupe Mountains. An approaching cold front will sweep through the Basin early Wednesday calming winds and dropping temps. Monday & Tuesday look for highs in the 90's, Wednesday will only hit the upper 70's!  Enjoy the cool down while its here because rebound temps return by Thursday as we top out in the upper 80's and middle 90's by Friday.
