Monday will be hot, with temperatures in most areas above 100 degrees. A cold front begins to approach the area by Monday afternoon creating some lift in the atmosphere. Combining that with some moisture that will be in the air gives us rain chances of about 40% in the eastern Permian Basin. The Trans-Pecos should remain dry with this system, with Odessa, Midland, Big Spring, Big Lake and Crane seeing the best possibilities for rain. After that, the cold front begins to affect our temperatures on Tuesday as Midland only tops out in the low-90s. After that the clouds start breakinga and we will heat up a bit through the rest of the week seeing a high of about 95 under mostly sunny skies on Friday.
