High pressure is in place over West Texas and that will send temperatures up close to 100 degrees this week.

For Labor Day, expect highs between 97 and 100 degrees around the Permian Basin with light winds and clear skies.

Tuesday and Wednesday we will climb even higher, approaching 98 degrees on Tuesday and 99 on Wednesday at Midland International Airport.

After that, some moisture should form into some cloud cover which will block some of that incoming radiation, causing a slight cool down into the mid 90's before the weekend.
