ODESSA -- A young boy found unconscious underneath an Odessa house in August has returned back home.

Ivory Carter, Jr. was found unconscious underneath a house in the 300 block of Patterson Avenue around 11:30 AM on August 17th.

Carter, 10, was released from Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock this past weekend, after he spent more than a month in critical condition at the hospital.

Carter's grandmother tells Big 2 that the boy remains in a semi-coma.

The woman says Carter is making progress, but he's not expected to make a full recovery.

The Odessa American reports that Carter may have chased a lizard underneath the home before he was found unconscious.

It remains unclear exactly how or why Carter initially became unconscious.
