3 Killed In Kendall County Crash Of Midland-Based Helicopter Flight

KENDALL COUNTY -- Three people are killed, after a helicopter crashes on a Midland-based flight.

    Texas Department of Public Safety officials say that a 4-passenger Robinson R-44 helicopter crashed near Ranch Road 1888 and F.M. 1376 in northeast Kendall County sometime after 10 PM on October 11th.

    All 3 people on the helicopter died in the crash.

    As of 9:30 PM Friday, the victims' names had not yet been released.

    The helicopter was flying from Midland to Seguin when it crashed.

    The helicopter was moments away from making a stop to refuel in Fredericksburg when it went down.

    As of Friday, it remained unclear which airfield the helicopter took off from in the Tall City.

    The cause of the crash had not been determined Friday.
