Midland Reading Council Celebrates Joy Of Reading

MIDLAND -- The Midland Reading Council is celebrating the joy of reading and the educators who teach it.

    Dozens of teachers and community members came out Monday evening, for the council's Annual Literacy Night event.

    Midland I.S.D. Superintendent Dr. Ryder Warren and U.T.P.B. President Dr. David Watts were the keynote speakers at the event.

    Dr. Warren and Dr. Watts talked about the affect literacy has on every aspect of a person's life -- from their health to their income level.
