More Than 51,000 People Take Advantage Of Early Voting In Midland, Ector Counties

MIDLAND -- More than 51,000 people in Midland and Ector counties took advantage of Early Voting to cast their ballots for the 2012 elections.

    Early Voting started on October 22nd and concluded Friday.

    A total of 51,790 people voted early in Midland and Ector counties.

    Midland County elections officials say that 30,127 people cast their ballot in the 2 week Early Voting period.

    A total of 3,562 people voted in Midland County on Friday. In fact, more votes were cast Friday in Midland County than on any other day during the Early Voting Period.

    Ector County officials say that 21,663 people cast their ballot in the 2-week Early Voting Period.

    A total of 2,749 people voted in Ector County on Friday.

    The 2012 general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6th.
