MIDLAND---  There's a new form of dating called "speed dating" and you can find the event at Your Way Yogurt in Midland.

Stephanie Castillo is single and moved to the Basin for work.  She's tried going to bars and even online dating but hasn't had much luck.

Although she's never done it before, she says she would consider trying speed dating if she found a friend to go with.

While speed dating, people have the opportunity to go on multiple mini dates, and they are all based on first impressions.

Your Way Yogurt in Midland started the event a little over a month ago and say that they have already made successful matches.

"People like that it's fun and that there's no alcohol involved" says speed dating coordinator, Shalayna Valencia.

Singles who come out are put on 10 mini dates that last for only 5 minutes.  Organizers then blow a whistle and the men rotate to the next table on a new mini date.

Speed Dating is held at Your Way Yogurt in Midland on Thursday nights at 8pm.
