MIDLAND -- Veterans and active duty service members got to enjoy a free lunch compliments of Texas Roadhouse on Monday.

Both the Midland and Odessa Texas Roadhouse restaurants were packed with active duty and retired military members and their families on Monday.

The veterans and active duty service members got to pick one of 10 entrees from a special Veteran's Day menu.

Texas Roadhouse officials say that offering a free lunch is their way of honoring veterans service to our county.

"It's kind of special for both the veterans and the employees who are getting to learn a little bit about what these guys -- these men and women -- have done," Aaron Battles of Texas Roadhouse told Big 2. "So it's a very special time for everybody."

More than 400 Texas Roadhouse restaurants across 48 states took part in the Veterans Day celebration.
