ODESSA -- Odessa Police have issued arrest warrants for 4 sex offenders after they were found to be out of compliance with the City of Odessa during a recent enforcement sweep.

Odessa Police issued arrest warrants after a recent Registration, Enforcement, Apprehension and Prosecution (REAP) compliance inspection sweep of sex offenders in Odessa and Ector County.

During the compliance inspection -- which was conducted on October 23rd -- registered sex offenders within the jurisdiction of Odessa and Ector County were contacted to ensure that each offender is properly listing their current address, place of employment, and other compliance restrictions placed on these offenders through the judicial system.

Odessa Police were able to contact 125 of the 171 sex offenders that are monitored by the Odessa Police Department on October 23rd.

The remaining 46 sex offenders weren't home during the inspection period.

Odessa Police say many of those registered sex offenders were either at work or away from their homes for various other reason during the compliance inspection.

Registered sex offenders who weren't contacted during the October 23rd compliance inspection were given an opportunity to contact the Odessa Police Department of the Ector County Sheriff's Office to let authorities know that they are properly listing their current address, place of employment, and other compliance restrictions placed on them through the judicial system.

Odessa Police say that 41 of the 46 registered sex offenders they couldn't reach during the October 23rd compliance inspection were found to be in compliance.

However, 5 registered sex offenders were not found to be in compliance -- and warrants were issued for their arrest.

Odessa Police arrested one of those sex offender -- Gregory Rodriguez Delesandri -- around 10 AM on November 14th.

Delesandri, 37, is charged with felony (1st degree) failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

As of Friday evening, Delesandri was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on $100,000 bond.

Meanwhile, Odessa Police have issued arrest warrants for Brian Joseph Jones, Manuel Alaniz Oropeza, Rafael Ruiz and Kevin Lamont Pride.

Jone, 25, is charged with felony (2nd degree) failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Oropeza, 32, is charged with felony (3rd degree) failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Ruiz, 38, is charged with felony (2nd degree) failure to comply with sex offender duty to register life/90 day.

Pride, 44, is charged with felony (2nd degree) failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Anyone who knows where Jone, Oropeza, Ruiz or Pride might be should call Odessa Police at (432) 333-3641.
