Man's Body Found Smoldering Outside Artesia, NM

CHAVES COUNTY, NM -- A man is found burned to death near Artesia, NM.

    According to The Carlsbad Current-Argus, a Chaves County (NM) worker found a man's body smoldering along a road near Lake Arthur (just north of Artesia) on November 15th.

    Chaves County Sheriff's deputies also say that a hunter and his son found another man's body at a Chaves County oilfield site on November 19th.

    The bodies have been sent to the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque for identification.
