A cold front is poised to move through the Permian Basin around Mid-day today.

We will see our high temperatures before the front moves through, around 1:30.

After that, temperatures will fall through the day and into the night, with lows dropping below freezing in some areas.

Highs in the northern Permian Basin will top out in the mid 60's/lower 70's, while parts of the central Basin and Trans-Pecos could reach near 80 degrees as they wait on the front to arrive.

This will be a dry front, but will kick our winds up to around 20 mph out of the north.

After that, a pretty calm weather pattern is in our forecast with temperatures steadily climbing toward the mid 70's by the weekend.
