MIDLAND -- Five people are injured after a natural gas line ruptures in Midland County.

Midland County Sheriff's deputies tell Big 2 that a pressurized Parsley Energy flow line ruptured near the intersection of TX 349 and F.M. 1379 around 10:30 AM Friday.

The busted line was filled with water and natural gas.

Deputies say that 5 people were rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after the incident.

Part of County Road 330 was shut down near TX 349 after the incident, as crews worked to depressurize the busted line.

The Midland County Fire Marshal's office tells Big 2 that they don't know exactly why the line ruptured, but they won't be investigating the incident any further.
