Temps to start the day were in the 20's with some wind chills in the single digits.

With those cold temps to start the day, and north winds staying in the forecast through this afternoon, temperatures will struggle to make it into the upper 40's with many locations stalling out around 45 degrees.

Winds will stay light today, but with that northeasterly direction, wind chills will still make it feel like it's a few degrees cooler than it really is.

Tonight, we will see those winds shift to the south, but they will be so light that they won't add any appreciable heat, so it will be another cold one with temps bottoming out in the lower to upper 20's across the area.

Tomorrow, a warm up is in store, and several areas will get into the lower 50's.

Another freezing night follows, though so with 3 freezing nights in a row possible, don't forget about your pets, pipes and plants overnight.

After that, we do away with the freezing temps for a few days as we heat up into the upper 50's wednesday, mid 60's Thursday and all the way up into the 70's for Friday.

Some cloud cover will form this week, but for the most part there will be plenty of sunshine available.

The weekend looks pleasant with highs both days in the mid 60's.
