MIDLAND -- Midland Police announced today that they've finished their investigation into the November 15th Midland train tragedy.

Now, the investigation into the incident has been turned over to the Midland County District Attorney's Office.

Four military veterans died -- and 17 other people were injured -- when a Union Pacific freight train plowed into a Smith Industries flatbed truck at the Garfield Street railroad crossing in Midland around 4:35 PM on November 15th

The flatbed trailer -- which was being used as a parade float -- was carrying 12 veterans, their 12 wives and 2 escorts to a banquet at the Midland County Horseshoe Arena when tragedy struck.

Police haven't said much about their investigation, but they have announced that they won't be charging the driver of the trailer.

The Midland County District Attorney's Office will now look into the incident further.
