Windy Conditions Continue Through Midweek 12-16-12

By: Matthew Farrell
Updated: December 16, 2012
Those gusty winds from the weekend will continue this week, especially in the mountains.

Wind speeds through the Guadalupe and Davis Mountains could be sustained 35-45, with gusts around 60.

These will pose fire dangers Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday could pose the highest fire danger with relative humidity readings of less than 15%.

We could see a Red Flag Warning for the entire area if the humidity forecast remains the same.

Other than that, with these winds out of the SW, we will warm up into the upper 60's/70's tomorrow and up into the upper 70's Tuesday.

We could see a new record high on Tuesday.

After that, another cold front will move through Wednesday and highs will be in the upper 60's.

Behind the cold front Thursday, highs will only be in the 50's.

We will start warming back into the mid 60's through next weekend.
