Above Average Temperatures This Weekend Will Lead Into Cold Conditions On Christmas 12-21-2012

This Weekend:
Temperatures will stay well above average as we see South and Southwest winds take over.
Conditions will be very dry with humidity readings <15%.
Wind speeds could be as high as 20-25 mph in the Guadalupe Mountains, so we could see some fire danger there on Saturday.
Other than that, breezy conditions (10-20) will be in place for most of the Permian Basin.
Cloud cover will keep our temperatures from skyrocketing on Saturday, so predictions will be in the mid to upper 60's for everybody.
Clear skies on Sunday and those persistant southwest winds, however, should push us into the 70's easily on Sunday.
Christmas Eve:
Temperatures will fall slightly ahead of a front that should move through by early Christmas morning, but otherwise we are looking at comfortable conditions and sunny skies with temps in the mid to lower 60's.
Christmas:
A cold front will drop our temperatures into the lower 50's for Christmas, and kick up our winds into the 20-25 mph range out of the NW.
The winds will be sustained, so it's going to be cold and feel colder with temperatures fallling throughout the day.
The wind may blow in some dust as well, so visibility could be lowered.
We will stay dry on Christmas, though.
Rest of the Week:
Wednesday will be cold with temps in the 40's across the area.
A warm up takes place after that, though, with the 50's expected Thursday and 60's by Friday.
