Cancer Awareness Night Saturday at Sandhills Rodeo

ODESSA  -- Saturday night at the 80th Annual SandHills Stock Show and Rodeo at the Ector County Coliseum is Cancer Awareness night.  $1 per ticket sold for the show on Saturday will benefit our local American Cancer Society.

The 2012 SandHills Rodeo brought 919 PRCA professional cowboys and cowgirls to Odessa.  This ranks the Sandhills Rodeo #49 out of the 572 PRCA sanctioned rodeos in the US and Canada. In 2011, the total attendance was 24,192 for the six performances. For two weeks, rodeo personnel, contestants and families call Odessa home. The Sandhills Rodeo includes all of the PRCA events- bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle-bronc riding, tie-down roping, bull riding, barrel racing, and steer roping.

Rodeo starts at 7:00pm each night

Family night Thursday Jan 10th - kid 12 & under gets in free with a purchase of an adult ticket
