MIDLAND -- An elderly who went missing in Midland has been found in good condition.
Jose Borunda
walked away from the Ashton Way Apartments in Midland on the evening of January 15th.
Midland Police, a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter and bloodhounds searched for Borunda, 80, overnight.
A Silver Alert was also issued across Texas for Borunda, who has alzheimer's disease.
Police ultimately found Borunda in good condition at a Stripes convenience store at 4508 North Big Spring Street around 8:40 AM Wednesday.
Although Borunda was found in good condition, he was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital to be checked out.

Police located 80-year-old Jose Borunda at the Stripes Convenience
Store located at 4508 N. Big Spring St. after receiving
a call in regard to his whereabouts at approximately 8:40 a.m. Borunda
was found in good condition and transported to Midland Memorial Hospital
as a precautionary measure.
The
Midland Police Department began the search for Borunda on Tuesday after
he was last seen walking west on Neely Avenue from the
Ashton Way Apartments at approximately 8 p.m. Borunda suffers from
Alzheimer's and does not speak English.
Police
searched throughout the night and early morning for Borunda, working
off several tips that he had been seen in the northwest
area of Midland. The Department received assistance from Texas
Department of Criminal Justice bloodhounds and Department of Public
Safety helicopters during the search.
Due
to information officials received that Borunda was prone to accepting
rides from strangers, a Silver Alert was issued statewide
and Border Control was notified
