MIDLAND COUNTY -- An 18-wheeler sparks a grass fire in Midland County.

Firefighters tell Big 2 that a drive shaft fell off an 18-wheeler along F.M. 1379 near Greenwood around 4:30 PM on Tuesday.

Sparks from the shaft set grass on both sides of the road on fire.

Greenwood Volunteer firefighters were able to get the flames out by 5 PM Tuesday.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the fire.

Firefighters say no charges will be filed for the blaze, since it happened purely by accident.
