3 Seriously Injured In Crash Near Midland

MIDLAND -- Three people are seriously hurt in a head-on collision on the southwest side of Midland.

    The crash happened around 3 PM Thursday along the north service road of Interstate 20, just east of West Loop 250.

    Midland Police tell Big 2 that the driver of a Cadillac was heading westbound on the service road when the driver tried to pass a Chevrolet Suburban in a no-passing zone.

    The Cadillac turned into the into the eastbound lane of the service road and smashed into an oncoming Mazda S.U.V. at a high speed.

    Both drivers and a passenger in the Mazda S.U.V. were rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries after the wreck.

    The driver of the Cadillac will also get a ticket for passing in a no-passing zone.

    Midland Police haven't released the names of anyone involved in the crash.
