Midland High Student Hit By Pickup Truck In Parking Lot

MIDLAND -- A teenager hits a Midland High School student with a pickup truck in a parking lot.

    Midland Police say that a 17-year-old male M.H.S. student was heading south on D Street in a black Chevrolet pickup truck in heavy traffic around 12:25 PM when he decided to take a detour.

    The teen reportedly drove over a curb near Ohio Avenue and accelerated westbound in the Midland High School parking lot until he hit a 17-year-old female student who was standing in the lot.

    The victim was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    The driver of the pickup will be charged with reckless driving.

    No names have been released.
